If Trump made a post-arraignment speech, I guess he wasn't really arrested.

He wasn't, not really....and they even gave him the option to do it all by zoom. Kid gloves all the way through, all they requested was that he politely refrain from inciting violence. How well did trump hold up his end of this gentlemans arrangement? Well, I'll let his lawyer handle that.

He was booked, fingerprinted, held in police custody, and arraigned. If that’s not an arrest, it’ll do til one comes along.

Jailers get probation after playing ‘Baby Shark’ to inmates on repeat

Quote:In 2019, inmates at an Oklahoma jail say, they were led into empty rooms by corrections officers and forced to listen to the children’s song “Baby Shark” for hours at high volume. Now, two of the officers have been punished.

Last week, Gregory Cornell Butler Jr. and Christian Charles Miles each pleaded no contest to three counts of cruelty to a prisoner. A judge in Oklahoma County District Court banned Butler, 24, and Miles, 23, from working in law enforcement during a two-year probation term.

I have to say that does fall into the 'cruel and unusual punishment' category.

Terrifying new AI scam CLONED teenage girl's voice to call her mother and demand $1million ransom

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
