What happens is that people have a dream they and coincidentally have an experience which seems to support that dream. Alternately, they have an experience and merely claim that they dreamt about it beforehand. A third possibility that people interpret dreams in the same way they interpret their horoscopes - they take a specific event and try to hammer it into a nebulous 'prediction'.

For future reference, you might want to find a better source for your arguments than a bedding shop.

Personally, I believe dreams are divine; even have interpretations.
This verse from the Quran makes me think that:



We go to "God" when we sleep; what we see there our minds recall as symbols.

So if we dream of a dog, maybe God showed us our enemy, but our brain interpreted the vision we saw as a dog.
If we dream of war, maybe God showed us the misery and pain to come, but our brain interpreted the vision as a war.

If a dream seemed stupid and gullible, maybe your brain is filled with stupidity, thus its translation to symbols is mere stupidity.

It seems pretty silly of God to speak to dreaming people symbolically. If there's an enemy coming for you, maybe God should just tell you who that is instead of showing you a dog. I mean, you could be out dog-shopping while your enemy is back at your place, hamstringing your sheep or something.

God is not speaking to us expect if we were prophets like Moses PBUH; actually thinking that God is speaking to us is a huge sin:

He's not speaking to us in dreams. We just remember some stuff from the journey we take to God when we sleep.
Even Einstein said that space-time can be warped under certain conditions, I think when we sleep we have access to that warped space-time.

I won't quibble with you over the word 'speak'. But your earlier post indicates that you think dreams are a way of God communicating with us. If so, why would God show us our enemy and then have us interpret that as a dog? It seems as if this sort of wonky interpretation could lead to all sorts of bad consequences.

Further complicating your nutty thesis is the fact that animals dream, and we know what they dream about. Are you suggesting that animals visit God? Allah is hanging out with rats, cats, dogs?

Why should I want to generate lucid dreams? I get enough weird dreams on account of all the meds I have to take. 

To make them less weird or escape from them. I actually focused alot on one of the methods the linked article mentions. Reading. My nightmares are obviously military themed and it's useful to work with joes to remember to "collect intel" in their dreams. The idea here being that you don't actually need to have recognition (that you're dreaming) for effective control. It's just a drilled in part of your personality that expresses itself in thematically appropriate dreams - the kicker being that the parts of your brain involved in reading signage and road markers and house numbers and tags isn't active while you sleep, and when you activate it, it trips up rem and has a pretty good chance of either terminating the dream or waking you up.

I was already interested before that - like, practicing, lol. Can't tell you that I've ever had more than two or three truly lucid dreams. It's okay to actually talk about lucid dreams in your lucid dreaming thread..right Winter? We don't have to be plugged into a talkative allfairy to learn how to terminate a dream.

 God only speaks to people through:

1-a revelation
2-from behind a veil
3-sending a messenger with a message

An example is the Quran: which is a message given to a messenger.

Our brains are limited; that's why it interpret what it saw with what it knows and understands.
Similar to looking at a "Rorschach Test".

Yes. Even animals dream. The difference is in the brain of man and animal.
