The Greeks did the same thing. They (easily) worked out the distance to the moon by geometry as did the Egyptians use the same method.
It's not the scriptures. Many ancient cultures knew how to compute distances using geometry. Measured Earth distances and the sun.
If people actually knew something about ancient cultures they would not have to cook up "Oh the fucking aliens done it".

Would you guys laugh if I just point to a free-to-watch documentary on YouTube that I think provides pretty much all the specific examples I'd appeal to? There really are a lot of highly detailed specifics to go over, and I don't think I could do them justice.

There's much better sci fi out there than anything the ancient aliens crew comes up with, if that's your kick.
Don't get me wrong, I watched their whole new special, and I've seen every episode and spinoff those guys put out. It's how I pass the time between better shows.

So you are into Vedas. I know about two hare Krishnas who wrote a relatively popular book based on Vedic texts called "Forbidden Archeology" where they claim how human civilization is billions of years old, that humans and dinosaurs lived together, and that Krishna created humans so that evolution is a lie.
As I said, the book was relatively popular that even a "documentary" was made based on it where the presenter was Charlton Heston.
Is that something that you believe in?
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Documentaries. There's part of the problem, Sicnoo0. Documentaries are usually some of the last things you want to get facts from.
Highly detailed specifics don't mean anything if they are falsehoods at the end of the day.
Note that my request was for verses from primary sources, not links to YouTube videos that you've enjoyed watching.

Just remember, people of ancient Indian civilization were no less dishonest than modern people now, but we’re assuredly a hell of a lot more ignorant.
While modern people (some modern people) may be a lot more knowledgeable than people of ancient Indian civilization, Modern people are no more honest than the people of ancient India civilization.
Portraying some vaguely remembered ancesters culture as some sort of golden age beyond the concrete attainment of the whole modern world is invariably a lie and an intentional fraud intended to deflect criticism from the present inadequacy of the present descendant culture.

I'll admit it was unreasonable of me to go "hey watch these documentaries and fact-check them yourself every time they make a claim"
I don't care for anything having to do with the Ancient Aliens TV show. I know von Däniken is not trustworthy. I haven't based anything I've said so far on anything from that show.
The Bible also mentions the very same omnidirectional flying machines.
Mauro Biglino is a famous biblical translator who has had direct access to the Vatican and worked directly for the Church. In his book, The Naked Bible, he goes into detail about the fact that the Bible doesn't speak about God but instead speaks about the Elohim, mortal beings with highly advanced technology. He thinks it's possible these were the ancient alien gods that caused such a stir across all the ancient cultures of the world, though he admits that the bible isn't fully clear whether the Elohim were of extraterrestrial origin. The "Glory of God", he explains, actually refers to one of the 20+ different types of flying machines. Specifically, the Glory of God was the flying machine used by Yahweh. Some of these flying machines were used as weapons. The Elohim fought each other for power over their respective territories on Earth. According to Biglino, the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah was perpetrated by the Elohim with something similar to an atomic bomb.
Providing verses from Hindu scripture seems like a moot point since we're all already in agreement that plenty of ancient cultures figured out some pretty amazing stuff with the scientific knowledge they had at the time. It won't make any difference. Will anyone really fight me on the point that there are documents belonging to Hindu scripture that gave detailed instructions on how to build an electric battery and how to use an electric battery to split water into its constituent gasses? It's like the very first thing that comes up when you google search "Agastya Samhita"
“Place a well-cleaned copper plate in an earthenware vessel. Cover it first by copper sulfate and then by moist sawdust. After that, put a mercury-amalgamated zinc sheet on top of the sawdust to avoid polarization. The contact will produce an energy known by the twin name of Mitra-Varuna. Water will be split by this current into Pranavayu and Udanavayu. A chain of one hundred jars is said to give a very effective force. (p. 422)”

I will make the obvious but deserved cheap shot - an organization that hordes information and still profess to believe a Jesus that is god can misuse any information to fraudulently support anything.
