Alarming, terribly suprising. The right has been tearing down to one degree or another since Reagan.

I vividly remember his "government IS the problem" speech. What is surprising to me is how quickly we went from guardrails, checks and balances, and grudging deference to the courts to having none of it. Turns out, it's all an illusion if enough bad faith actors get involved. "A Republic, if you can keep it."
Katy Perry Acknowledged the Conspiracy Theory That She’s JonBenét Ramsey
For reference, Ramsey was a child beauty queen who went missing in 1996 when she was six years old and was later found dead in her home. Her autopsy revealed that she had been strangled to death. To this day, no one knows who killed her, but officials have not given up on the case. Along with the ongoing investigation comes a slew of conspiracy theories surrounding Ramsey’s death, one of them being that Katy Perry is actually JonBenét Ramsey and that her parents faked her death so she could rise to fame. Katy Perry then sent fans into a spiral by acknowledging the post, commenting: “Wait am I?” Of course, there are many holes in this theory, including that Katy Perry’s age would not align with JonBenét Ramsey’s. But anyway…who am I to debunk a wild and semi-offensive conspiracy theory? https://www.vice.com/en/article/katy-per...cy-theory/
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
Secret CIA files claim Ark of the Covenant has been found
The location of a chest believed to contain the Ten Commandments has long been a mystery, but CIA documents claims the Ark of the Covenant has been found. The CIA conducted experiments in the 1980s with individuals who claimed they could perceive information about distant objects, events or other people. The report details one of these tests where Remote Viewer No. 032 was given coordinates to locate a target, and they described the Ark of the Covenant hiding in the Middle East. The remote viewer continued to say that the coffin-shaped object is 'located somewhere in the Middle East' and saw people in the area speaking Arabic. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/...found.html

The meek shall inherit the Earth, the rest of us will fly to the stars.
Never underestimate the power of very stupid people in large groups Arguing with an engineer is like wrestling with a pig in mud ..... after a while you realise that the pig likes it!
Why is the CIA searching for the Ark? Seems like a project for DOGE to gut.
Mysterious glowing orbs 'coming from mothership' off Florida coast spark fears of another drone invasion
Mysterious glowing orbs have been spotted flying off the coast of Florida - months after New Jersey was invaded by drones. Residents of Daytona Beach have described the unidentified objects rising directly from the ocean and flying over the surface of the water. One extremely viral video from March 17 at around 10pm captured what appeared to be a large object moving toward land, and the flare of light surrounding it gradually dissipating to reveal the shape of an aircraft. While many have dismissed it as simply a passenger plane, locals have shared similar videos online claiming the objects moved in unconventional ways. One particularly extraordinary theory has surfaced on social media, where locals say a 'group of whistleblowers' claiming to be 'military personnel and sailors' told them the US Navy discovered a 'huge' underwater mothership that they believe is producing the orbs. 'Apparently whatever this thing is has sent numerous pulses of energy out, and apparently knocked out power to a couple of the ships,' one TikTok user explained. These reports are unverified. But after thousands of unidentified drones were reported throughout the US just a few months ago, Floridians are concerned that the activity appears to have started up again in their state. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/...asion.html
