My attitude is that I wouldn't darken the door of any church that would have you as a member. You've gone a long way to blame atheists' "relationship" with god when we need look no further than the adherents of your religion for much more tangible failings. You're once again trying to shift the blame to atheists and/or god when the true failure is your own.

That's a good illustration of a belief. And presumably you have negative attitudes about mental patients, which creates a negative attitude about me.
But here's the key point. Whether you realize it or not, your negative attitudes about me shape how you perceive my arguments, and how likely you are to think I'm right.

FYI, it would be entirely the other way around, piss poor arguments, that were consistency unevidenced, and relentlessly irrational, and especially presented in an arrogant sententious manner, would likely influence me to form a negative impression of the person presenting them.

IDK John. I think that you might have more to do with how people perceive you than anyone's atheism.
