Actually if Trump was actually interested in marking the end off WW2 for the United States he would have picked September 2nd  or August 15th when Japan surrendered

Just like the other two, there’s no need. VJ Day is already recognized in the US.

Yeah, what they have is the framework for a deal, as opposed to an actual deal. Or, to use one of Trump’s favourite words, the ‘concept’ of a deal. And - as it stands now - I wouldn’t be overly optimistic about Commons signing off on it.
