In your opinion what causes christians to believe in Jesus

Not only can light have a multitude of sources besides the Sun (the premise of my argument), light is always independent from it's source. Surely, you know many of the stars we see at night no longer exist. The source is gone, all that's left is unshackled, independent light crossing the universe.

What even is this argument? I'll concede only if you accept that the earth is only a day old: I changed the earth's form yesterday when I dug a hole in the garden.

Well, that was incoherent and stupid.

Not only can light have a multitude of sources besides the Sun (the premise of my STRAW MAN
This straw man is ignoring the context, unless you can evidence another source of light that sustains vegetation on this planet?

Magically? I mean dullard that I am, the word source suggests something to me John?
Quote:Surely, you know many of the stars we see at night no longer exist. The source is gone, all that's left is unshackled, independent light crossing the universe.
And you think this could sustain vegetation on this planet without our sun, seriously? Is this where you've been heading?  Hilarious
All this to lend the absurd claims in the creation myth in Genesis some credibility, so as to deny scientific facts about the age of the earth.

None of them most likely. Almost all of the few thousand stars in the night sky are within a few hundred light-years of Earth. With a very few exceptions, all of the starlight that you see originated from after the reign of Queen Victoria.

Not unless you're invoking an unusually high and lethal supernova rate.

Supernova vs Bronze-Age Deity

Now there's a match I'd love to watch.

I'll slow it down a bit for you: If changing form redefines Earth, then I unmade Earth yesterday by digging a hole. Congrats on the metaphysics.
