UGH, burns are awful.

My occupational hazard consists of stabbing myself (accidentally) with needles...did a bang up job the other day and bled all over my desk and the floor.  I buy bandages in bulk these days.

The burn was my fault for buying heat-resistant gloves on the cheap.

Burns are always nasty. I do wood working and wood carving. I was chopping a small amount of leftover wood at the bottom of a cut (dado for finger joints). I slipped and ran the chisel into my left thumb. Fortunately, it hit at the last joint, into the bone. So it was only about 1/16" deep. Just one of those things that I know better not to do, but get carried away and do it, anyway. That's when it's break time. A) I don't want blood on my wood project; it's not a preferred color of stain. B) It hurt a bit, so I gave it a couple of days to heal. Arthritis in my lower body limits standing time, anyway.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

My burn came from a teensy, weensy fragment that broke off of the beryllium copper bar I was forging. It burned through my glove like it wasn’t even there. The liner of the glove caught fire, which made the burn much bigger than the piece of metal that started all the fun. Second degree.

Captive fire is the worst. Feel better soon! I rolled under a copper pipe joint I had just soldered and brushed my upper arm against it. Not much room between the pipe and the ground in that crawl space. Came away with the flux still sizzling. I was under the house and it take would me minutes crawl out. I spit on it and then blew on it until it wasn't screaming pain. 38 years ago, and I still have the scar.

It happened yesterday, and it’s already gone from ‘nightmare’ to ‘bearable’. SSD and oral painkillers.

I looked up SSD and the brainiac machine showed me all kinds of computer hardware. I guess I'll actually have to establish a google account and turn that stupid crap off.
