What struck me is actually how shaky he is before he assumes The Pose. He's a bit wobbly and at one point uses his right hand to stabilize himself. He's also looking around with a bit of befuddlement. He doesn't look at the man who fainted, for instance. I think he's looking around to orient himself. Taking care of my mom (who is 80 and senile) and also coping with my own debilitation, I think the signs are clear. There's a combination of physical and mental issues that are hampering his ability to construct a viable model of the outside world, in my opinion.

All of which is why I'm not really fussed about him (still) toying with the idea of a third term. I fully expect him to snuff it before the mid-terms.
