Under the "lack of belief" definition, an atheist doesn't necessarily become atheist based on argument, or evidence, or any other persuasive method. A person can have a lack because they were raised by parents who were indifferent to religion. Or because they just never bothered with it. Or maybe the Christians they knew as kids seemed yucky to them. 

For atheists like this, becoming a Christian wouldn't necessarily involve changing their standards or accepting something that contradicts their previous conclusions. It would be their first experience with positive beliefs about metaphysics or some kind of Deeper Meaning. 

I've known maybe half a dozen Japanese people who converted to Christianity. They were nominally Buddhist before (as just about everyone is here) but Japanese Buddhism tends to be purely ceremonial and doesn't involve accepting the truth of any propositions. In every case, these people became Christian because they were impressed with Christian charitable work. The first women's colleges in Japan, and the first kindergartens, and many hospitals, were set up by Christians. They continue to do work like this. 

So the people whom I've met who lacked belief, but then converted, did so because of the good examples they saw. I did have the bad taste once to ask one of these converts whether she thought the world had been created in six days. She said, "Well... yeah... I guess so." It was clear she had never thought about it. Beliefs of that kind had no role in her religion.

Every atheist (in fact every human being) already has positive beliefs about metaphysics and deeper meanings. They begin to form within months of birth. The belief in gods in and of itself isn't even a type of either thing. We seem to be confusing gods with religions, and such beliefs as religions.

Just as your examples do, actually. Being convinced by christian charity that the christian god exists is sloppy thinking. Being convinced by christian charity that the christian club is one you want to join makes a bit more sense. OFC, being convinced by christian charity that the world was created in six days is something else entirely, and the mere utterance of the affirmation directly contradicts your conclusion without a breath between the two claims.

The Catholic Church also blessed both of the atom bombs that were thrown on Japan, when Catholic Chaplain George Zabelka made the holy mass over the bomb and the pilots, as did Protestant Chaplain William B. Downey, which is another reason why Japanese Buddhists convert to Christianity.

Incorrect. You can not shoot someone in the name of atheism because atheism is not an ideology. There is nothing in atheism that says to shoot people like there is in various religions that say you must attack people of different religions.

Again, since you are obviously very slow, he might have been an atheist, but he didn't kill people because of atheism. If someone doesn't believe in Santa Claus but kills someone who believes in him, it doesn't mean that he killed him A-Santistism.
