RE: Dreams
Last night I dreamt I was an intern at a hospital on a midnight shift with a small, perfectly round hole in the floor I was on. One of the other interns poked his hand in the hole and it got sucked in and he was barely able to get it out and it looked horribly frostbitten. I went to get help on the 13th floor, apparently we were on the 11th. I got confused and wound up on the 12th floor, where I did find a doctor but decided not to bother him. The doctor was Mitch McConnell. He was wearing the same shirt as in that photo with his wife making the rounds under his white coat. He even gave a little kick to show how spry he was.

That might have been too over the top for me, that's when I woke up.

We inherited a flock of talking chickens and a cockerel that yodeled instead of crowed.

RE: Dreams
We came home from a walk and found the house cordoned off and the place infested with coppers. One of them told us that all of our bowls had been stolen and they were dusting for fingerprints.

Not recent dreams, but I recall having one where a toad turned into a bat and flew away and one where a rasping walking bundle of barbed wire had hissing cat heads at the top ends of the wires. I was on clonidine for my blood pressure for that last one. I still hear cicadas constantly since I was on it.

New Zealand outlawed coffee and made tea drinking mandatory. There were riots.

RE: Dreams
Last night was a horror movie, featuring Peter Capaldi. No mystery there since I watched this before going to bed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oW8OlXkjVHs

Fortunately, like a horror movie, my dreams were from a third person perspective. In the first one, park personnel were being invaded by grubs or worms (it was hard to get a look at them because they sort of flipped around to evade capture). Once inside a person they would incubate and grow until they completely filled up their skin suit, then burst out instantly after begging to be put out of their misery first. That was a plot hole, IMHO, since there clearly wasn't enough room left for the human brain to be making requests given how big the creepy crawly was when it came out.

Then in RL I took the dog out and went back to bed, determined not to continue that dream. Instead I dreamed of living zombies, and this is where Capaldi showed up. More and more people were acting like zombies but in the aftermath the survivors gradually recovered their senses, even though Capaldi was insulting and lecturing them and seemed quite angry that they had succumbed to zombification in the first place.

Maybe I was wrong to blame those barbed-wire cat heads on medication.

Weird, but tame. I was getting in-home dentistry (as one does) and while the dentist was working on me, his colleagues brought in a grand piano (one of them played beautifully) and rearranged my furniture. I couldn't see any of this and I told the dentist that it was okay to leave the piano temporarily, but if they never came back for it I would learn to play it. When I was able to get up and look around the presence of the piano didn't bother me, but I was miffed that they completely rearranged my living room (no resemblance to my actual living room in the first place) and I would have to sit on the floor because they moved my couch to the great room. Getting up from the floor is hard when you're 64! So my dog and I moved the couch back to the living room. I'm not exactly sure how he picked up his end.

Similar: my wife somehow managed to install a four-piece sectional sofa, end tables, and lamps in the guest bath, which is about 2mx3m.

The dimensions of the bath and the new furnishings hadn’t changed at all.

RE: Dreams
I had a dream set in the Star Trek: Voyager universe. As the captain, I chose to be the landing party on a planet occupied by a female demigod and two mortals. The demigod kept the planet in a state of partial illusion. One of the mortals was collecting various items in a white tray, and I kept playing with which items were present so that the items he was collecting would appear or disappear without explanation. I ended up confronting the female demigod about her interference in the lives of the two mortals and we had a meeting of minds.
