Anyone Else Here Eschew Smart Phones?

I'm a tech enthusiast except for smart phones. I have little use for them.
Back from 2008 to 2013 I used a weather radar app on one when I ran scuba and other tourist boats in the Florida Keys. That was extremely useful. I occasionally used a calculator app and a timer app when I worked a more conventional job from 2016 to 2022 when I retired. Now, I just use one to place and receive calls.
I have a high performance computer with 3 x 32" monitors and a 55" TV as a 4th monitor. Why to heck would want to play around with a device with a tiny screen? I might have felt differently if I was young again and more active but as a mostly stay at home nerd, they just don't appeal to me.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

I mean...as much as anyone can? My first cell and my first smartphone were the same phone..and I wasn't consulted about it's acquisition. Just showed up. You'd have to be an ingrate to decline. In any other area, I'm a tech junkie and early adopter. But with smartphones and mobile phones in general I had to be hard pressured.
08-13 in florida...I was still using an actual calculator and a stopwatch, but maybe just look up, eh, the gulf is a pretty easy skymap....lol. Used both today too.... I feel like the day I can throw my iphone in the trash is the day I've won at life. I really hate them. It's not rational...I can't fully explain it. I just remember life before them and I liked it better. When people couldn't reach me unless I was home.

Not me. I'm on the iPhone 17 ProMax and I find it very useful. Could I live without it? Sure. Am I going to? Not on your tintype. It makes it easier for me to communicate with clients (actual and potential), vendors, and those fine men, women, and attack dogs at Inland Revenue.

I dislike phones in general. But smartphones I primarily use as handheld computers so they're fine.

After resisting for a long time, I picked up a smartphone last year. Got an inexpensive Android phone, bought outright rather than on a phone company plan, and got a cheap prepaid plan.
I initially got it so that I could phone for roadside assistance if my car broke down, but it's also handy for looking up bus schedules, carrying digital tickets, and casting a Summon Taxicab spell after a night on the town. It also enabled me to ditch my landline when our telecom decided to raise the rates yet again.
The one thing I don't use it for is entertainment (no games, no surfing the Web), so I'm not constantly using it. That always creeps me out when I'm taking the bus: At least 80% of the passengers are staring at their phones for the whole trip.
