I really am sorry about that Kali Ma stuff, if that's still angering you. I didn't know what it meant and I still don't, I didn't mean any offence by it.

As to this do I just have to amend my 'claim' to include the word 'my'.. as in 'my experience of it, rightly or wrongly, is that it reduces my negative feelings like anxiety, anger etc, when applied, which is not always'. If you don't want anything to do with mindfulness, then that's your call obviously, just as it's my call to do it in my case if I think it's beneficial for me, which I do. IOW you do you, and I'll do me.

You have a strong tendency to attribute disagreement or debate as a symptom of offense. If nothing else, it demonstrates you're not particularly good at theorizing about why people do what they do. As Feynman said, "The first principle is that you must not fool yourself—and you are the easiest person to fool."

@Silas Vane

Okay, let's try a different and more explicit approach. These beliefs you have about morality and about gods nature don't seem to satisfy you..you still want to object rather than thank...so why should they satisfy anyone else?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

OK, maybe that's true.. that I'm not very good reading people so to speak, and yes, maybe I am a fool or foolish, but what do you want from me here? Just never to mention mindfulness again, never to mention Buddhism again? I'm sorry if it somehow offends you to speak positively about it, but I'm only speaking from my experience of it, but if you're taking that as a hype or a claim, or as a selling pitch, then all I can say is I'm sorry for that and I will try my best to change my wording around it or just not bring it up at all, but I do have the right to talk about my experience with it do I not? Not as a claim about its benefits for anyone else, but just as description of my own experience and views on it?

Either mindfulness practice in it's clinical form is the analytical and descriptive content it purports to be, or it isn't. Changing our language to refer exclusively to subjective and anecdotal content won't effect that - though it's perfectly workable as an item in a personal psychological wellness routine. There, at least at your level, our level, the level of an individual user..it doesn't really matter why or even whether a thing is working as described - only that we get well.

If RFK jr said we were going to divert half of our healthcare spending to mindfulness then we might have to be more concerned, lol.

I really don't know what you're saying any more. I have the right to change the focus of my attention, if I'm capable of doing so, do I not? and I have the right to consider doing that beneficial to myself, rightly or wrongly, irrationally, foolishly, whatever... do I not? So yeah, if you all want to consider me an irrational fool, then so be it, sad but so be it. Frankly I wish I had died both times and the only curse is that I didn't... and now all that remains is to endure what's left until I do... which mindfulness, in my fucking opinion, helps me with... sometimes... when I apply it, which isn't always. I'm not gonna let you guys rip this rug out from under me because it's the only thing I've got left!

Absolutely. I intend to dominate this platform through sound reasoning and arguments that stand up to scrutiny.

I'm not here to seek approval or win popularity contests. I'm here to challenge claims, expose flawed reasoning, and defend my position.

If you have an argument, bring it. If you're more interested in reading the room, take a seat and remain a spectator.

To the rest of your post, fair enough. That's never been an issue for me in the first place; whether it's funded by healthcare or whatever. That's not how I personally got into it, and I did pick up a book on clinical CBT and mindfulness, whatever it's called and probably whatever you're talking about, briefly, but it didn't interest me in the slightest... it felt too 'clinical'. So yeah, I don't care in the slightest if you don't put it under the heading of recommended clinical heathcare or whatever. That's not what it's ever been about for me. Just let me have it at my level, our level, like you've said, but I'm perfectly fine if it's never brought up, recommended, or funded under 'clinical' settings again.
