'Only' about 66% of claimed rapes are false, as statistical analyses show. Two-thirds! I.o.w.: a comfortable majority of claimed rapes is complete bullshit IRL.
He raped me" is – and has been through the ages – a favorite left hook of women who want to lash out at, and knock out one particular guy, or blackmail him. Or of women who use it to convince their partner they were not unfaithful to him but 'forced' to screw this other guy while, in reality, these women were simply playing the field.
Fortunately we now have DNA, which can prove what really happened in most cases.

I'm bloody serious: rapees lie in 2 out of 3 cases. Rape is bad, but falsely accusing one of rape is at least as bad, a perversion of justice and social mores, and happens twice as often IRL.

While I don't get the Dune reference, I thought that was epic. That definitely deserves to be framed. It's funny you mention Terri Schiavo, because on the Atheism and Life Support thread I was going to respond by singing the Terri Schiavo song.
"Sisters, you know only the north; I have traveled in the south lands. There are churches there, believe me, that cut their children too, as the people of Bolvangar did--not in the same way, but just as horribly. They cut their sexual organs, yes, both boys and girls; they cut them with knives so that they shan't feel. That is what the Church does, and every church is the same: control, destroy, obliterate every good feeling. So if a war comes, and the Church is on one side of it, we must be on the other, no matter what strange allies we find ourselves bound to."

He does in 98% of reported rape cases. Statistically that is a near perfect sample data set. Over 20 times as much as is commonly used for trend analyses applied in marketing and political decision making.

Simply put, in Dune, Melange, aka The Spice, is considered one of the most important commodities in the universe. It is not only able to increase lifespan, and unlock precognition, but it also responsible for making interstellar travel possible. However, it has exactly one source: the planet Arrakis.
Does that help?

He who controls the spice controls the universe.
