At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Vietnamese eat dog and cats, western thinks thats aweful, vietnamese dont think so... my point is , humans judge things differently basesd on ther respective culture and upbringing.
So there is no universal standard for any murderer to deserve what sort of punishment. God must exit for for ay judgement to be universal.

Brother Koklanas, don't bother with these people. They don't want to debate but they want to insult our faith.
Do what I did and leave this forum.

So there is no universal standard for any murderer to deserve what sort of punishment.
And apparently every surviving culture thinks that murder should be punished with life-sentence or death. I'm okay with that.
Unless ofcourse, the culture happens to be Islamic and murder is justified as "honor-killing."

I agree. Unless god exits the picture, any judgement would just his subjective opinion.

Thanks br zakir for the caution. I'm not sure if i am in the right crowd for discussing this.
Everyone please behave like adult, let's discuss this without unsulting each other belief and culture.
others' wrote something about honor killing. well, it has nothing to do with Islam. you have been watching too much cnn. not being able to differentiate between culture and religion.

The concept of reward and punishment proves there is a supreme being called God. Human get something from God for being good. That reward appears in a mysterious way . long life, food health and what not.
