Not as "simple" as you.

If I place a lie in someone’s mind and they pass on that lie, am I culpable of lying?

Give an answer and you will get your quotes.

I do not need to give you an answer, there are no scriptures that prove God sinned.

That would mean that we too can ignore laws when it suits us. Right?

Wrong, the laws were given to us. Your statement looks like this, judge tells criminal to emulate him, criminal believes he can set on the bench and judge judges.

Right.. So god is a human then, and we mere humans are only paintings/statues etc? Sorry, I must be incredible stupid for not seeing how a life can be compared to an inanimate object.

You believe I'm comparing humans to paintings, then that would make you incredible stupid, as you stated.
We're discussing a principle.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Or then perhaps you should work on your metaphors. As of now, you're not getting your points through very well.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

“I do not need to give you an answer, there are no scriptures that prove God sinned.”

That should not prevent you from giving us your moral position on sin that I put.
Do you just have poor morals or do you fear the quotes I have ready to give you?

--------------------------

“Wrong, the laws were given to us.”

So was the bible according to you yet you follow one and not the other.

Thanks for showing us your best.

Us, what's this us thing, I thought you said you wanted to know, I smell no good here. Here is my moral position, all sin is bad, simple really.

Where do you think the law is, man sometimes I really wonder where your head is. What do you mean I follow one but not the other, if it's the Bible there is only one.

Or, is everyone you disagree with a "catholic?"
So again you believe God to be onmipotent?

or perhaps, That word is mistakenly being used interchangably with Almighty.

I'm getting a really strong feeling that many Atheists in this thread don't understand the meaning of the word "omnipotent."
Maybe you should define it.Big Grin

No. God - all gods - are bullshit.

Why do you pretend that other theists are wrong? Their pile of garbage smells exactly as rotten as yours.

Atheists, you see, throw the trash out rather than trying to convince ourselves that it does not smell.

Your right. if an appologetic does not work and is not directly taught in the bible as taught from the pulpit then it should be thrown out. God is almighty, not omnipotent. The difference Being An Almighty God had the power to do anything His Character or defining qualities will allow. It seem to me that you understand an omnipotent God to be a detiy required to take the simplest way out all of the time. That not only is he free from rule or guideline, but must avoid them inorder to retain his god status. for a boundry of any kind even one defined by righteousness is an afront to this idea of omnipotence. Reread the OP, there are many examples of this.

If this is what you understand the term to mean, (as some do even in the church) then God is not Omnipotent as you understand the term to mean. For He is bound by the defining qualities of His Character. Now with in that chratacter He is without limit. Which makes Him Almighty.

Sure. I can write about a superhero too, and he might be reaaaally powerful on the pages of a book, but in the real world he's just a fictional character.
