What Heaven is Like

RE: What Heaven is Like
I just hope all you motherfuckers have your money to get across Styx. Aiza, you don't want to be stuck, do you?

Charon doesn't do charity cases.

Why do Christians stick with such a boring afterlife. When I die, I want to either be a god or explore all of space and time. That's actually exciting. Worshiping some old tyrant forever sounds like shit.

Because they are boring people.

Heaven is full of pussy. And I'm hard like 24/7. And there's beer and music and fun and jokes. Christians who want to sing hymns and pray all day long can go to hell, pun intended. Worship (large)
I have no problem sharing a common ancestor with the apes; it's being related to some people that bothers me.

Because I actually have heard much the same argument as his alluded to in some posts by atheists in this forum and others (including in this thread Tongue). I knew that these ideas are common in Eastern traditions (Orthodox Churches), though in the Western traditions they are a bit more rare. I think its interesting to read how the exact same argument matches up on the other side.
Mary Immaculate, star of the morning
Chosen before the creation began
Chosen to bring for your bridal adorning
Woe to the serpent and rescue to man.

Sinners, we honor your sinless perfection;
Fallen and weak, for your pity we plead;
Grand us the shield of your sovereign protection,
Measure your aid by the depth of our need.

Bend from your throne at the voice of our crying,
Bend to this earth which your footsteps have trod;
Stretch out your arms to us, living and dying,
Mary Immaculate, Mother of God.

Mainstream Christianity has people choosing their own state of union with God.
Well considering how miserable hell is supposed to be I think I'd rather choose to die, will God grant me free will if I ask to die? Or what if I choose to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord in savior in hell and repent. Where's my free will there?

No, against the rules, not any, one will be free to hate God as much as one's miserable life can stand.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

I don't hate god either.

How can you hate a fictional character?

If you're not supposed to ride faster than your guardian angel can fly then mine had better get a bloody SR-71.

I don't hate Him either but I find I have little sympathy for the character. The Jesus character is much more appealing. The apple fell very far from that tree.
