1- Well, your disapointment is duly noted and straight away dismissed, perhaps the defensiveness is because when these topics arise, there's usually a climb from vegans to the moral high ground. Someone else pointed that out.
2- Anyone in this forum is free to express themselves on any public topic. I don't think you have the authority to say or even suggest, who should or shouldn't post in a thread.
3- Well, you hope alot, but that small post just goes to show how high you think of yourself. If we aren't good enough for you, we're not forcing you to stay.
In conclusion, people are free to take their own lifestyle choices, vegans, omnivores, carnivores, insectivores, whatever, as long as they don't infringe on anyone else's rights. Some vegans are very alike religionist fundies, as they easily get 'offended', they like to preach about it, and have a 'holier than thou' attitude towards others. Are you one of them?

1. So it's rational to react to those instances every time a new post on the topic is made?
2. I didn't suggest otherwise.
3. I didn't suggest otherwise, and you're again arguing against a straw man.

Good luck with that, I'm throwing my hat in with middle eastern and Med foods for somebody going vegan -especially if you like a little heat- lol.

A person's ethics are fair game. Attacking a belief or position is not the same as attacking the person.
We have no obligation to meet your personal expectations. It is you who has to fit in if you are going to stay.We owe you nothing.

How long ago did you stop eating meat, Alei? Because you're being a lot more mature about it than I was. But of course, when I became a vegetarian I was 16 and not willing to see it from anyone else's point of view when it came to, well, anything (I had kind of a "why can't you see what I see?" kind of outlook). I still get annoyed by the jokes ("bacon, good", "People Eating Tasty Animals", etc.). At times, I feel like punching the person who made the joke. But I have stopped the lecturing.
To answer the OP's question, I don't eat meat. I'm not completely vegan. I wish I could be a vegan. However, I have not met a dairy or egg alternative that I actually liked. Although, I do make vegan brownies that are pretty kickass (even my mother likes them, and she's practically a carnivore!)
Don’t ask.

I stopped after eating steak at a friend's grill out, the last weekend of June. I understand that people don't have the same emotional make-up as I, and that just because something is wrong for me doesn't mean that it's necessarily wrong for other people. All I can do is be true to myself, and change myself when I see there needs changing.
I'm nearly 29, Diamond. When I was 16, I was a little activist about everything.
