I was just speaking gibberish to myself. The pastor told me to let the spirit fill me and just let the spirit flow from my tongue. I made up words and repeated them. I thought up the words, I new I did, but I thought God would find his way through the gibberish. I know how convincing blind belief of something can be, convincing doesn't make it true. When people get goosebumps during prayer, while that melodic music played in the background, we were told that was holy spirit washing over us. I also got goosebumps at the end of the movie, Gladiator, was that also the holy spirit?

You should come to the pentacostal church near my house, they all speak in tounges there. Funny thing is when 1 person does it everyone does it, and some claim the words come truer from their mouth than others. I think they just want to show each other up.
Live every day as if already dead, that way you're not disappointed when you are.

I'd like to know why God would choose to speak through people in a language that they not only don't understand, but has no structure or attributes to qualify it a language at all. Not the most convincing way to argue with us English speaking folk.

Many foreign languages appear to have no structure to Westerners, but they are still legitimate languages nonetheless.
