The difference of opinion isn't the issue. The issue is that Christians continue to use this standard combined with an ancient text to attempt to dictate how I should conduct my life. This is where my understanding stops and I become unhinged. I would give great latitude to Christians if they only had the common decency to keep it to themselves; however, they seem hell bent on making me play by rules of life invoked by men living two millennia ago.
