RE: How did the writings of the NT come to be?

When Pausanias, a second century Greek geographer, went through Corinth in the mid 2d century he carefully noted various shrines and temples....yet he never found a single church or synagogue. Nor apparently a single jew or xtian.
I'm sure the apologists will invent an explanation but it seems far more likely that Corinth...which was a struggling Roman colony in the first century...was a much later addition to the xtian bullshit story.

...and then a few centuries later some bishop in France started layong down the rules on which of the various scriptures was legit and in doing so started the canons. For over a thousand years few if any Christians knew of the existence let alone the content of those banned scriptures. And the major Protestant reformers of the renaissance were by-and-large limited to reinterpreting those permitted books rather than reassessing the banned ones.

Well there was a Christian community in Israel that was led by the original followers, but Paul did not usually agree with them.
He used his prestige as a Roman citizen to freely travel through the Roman world, which most other Christians would never be able to do.
Most of the churches he founded were not churches as we would normally think, but just a community of believers....they did not necessarily worship in a dedicated building, but wherever they could because Christianity was a persecuted faith at this point. Very much cult status during the time of Paul.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

Put down your fucking bible and learn.
Quote:Saul of Tarsus – a witness for Jesus?
One is informed by Acts that St Paul's early day stance was as "Saul, the Christian persecutor". Yet if Saul really was a vigilante for orthodox Judaism at the time of Stephen's stoning (Acts 7.58-8.3), becoming the chief persecutor of Christians, no less – one wonders just where was Saul, not long before, when a supposed radical rabbi called Jesus was stirring up whole towns and villages?
Paul's role as religious policeman seems not to have awakened until shortly after the godman's death. But in itself this suggests Jesus of Nazareth had no great impact. After all, Saul was a contemporary of Jesus in time and place, raised in Jerusalem ("at the feet of Gamaliel" – Acts 22.3) at precisely the time the godman was overturning moneychangers in the Temple and generally provoking Pharisees and Sadducees.
Would not Saul, a young religious hothead ("exceedingly zealous of the traditions" – Galatians 1.14) have waded into those multitudes to heckle and attack the Nazarene himself? Would he not have been an enthusiastic witness to JC's blasphemy before the Sanhedrin? And where was Saul during "passion week", surely in Jerusalem with the other zealots celebrating the holiest of festivals? And yet he reports not a word of the crucifixion?
Paul, another "witness for Jesus", saw and heard nothing!

Oh one of those retarded atheist sites that lack academic credibility? No wonder it came off as GED quality.

Oh please. The discrepancies I know about the Bible make that look like child's play especially since the ones I know off the top of my head are at least based in academia unlike that BS you posted.

You are a believer....you are incapable of evaluating your own bullshit.
Learn from people who can.

Paul himself will have you know that "the gospel I preach is not man's gospel; for I did not receive it from any man nor was I taught it, but received it through revelation from Jesus Christ" (Galatians 1:11).
Three year ministry? Paul says "no". Solar deity? Malachi 4:2 says "yes": ...the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings...
How very interesting that the Sun of God is prophecized in such a way. The Gospels don't disappoint and such a "messiah" does spring up (no pun intended with the season there) who is baptised by John the Baptist and starts his ministry at 30 according to the Aquarius (the water bearer) Zodiac, which is at 30 degrees on the Zodiac and where John the Baptist can be seen in the night sky.
No wonder the pseudo-Pauline epistle to the Ephesian church states "In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, which was not made known to people in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets." (Ephesians 3:4,5). This is a reoccurring theme in the epistles where the mysteries of Christ Jesus were revealed through the Spirit and the prophets (OT), and never does a godman get any credit for his 3 year ministry. Poor old Jesus died for nothing it seems!
