And We're Back ... Awe Hell

RE: And We're Back ... Awe Hell
It really depends on how you define hell. There is a place mentioned in the bible that closely resembles what is now called hell, but the word hell was not used. So is it not hell, or is hell just another name for it?

Seems that hell has become a general term for what more specifically would be the lake of fire.

Ahhh, but the Bible says that hell will be thrown into the lake of fire, so they can't be the same, right?

Was the word hell used in the original bible? I don't think it was. The lake of fire just seems like hell+ to me.

I do wish the theists would sort out the terminology once and for all. If I'm to be threatened with it or consigned to it, I'd at least like to know what 'it' is.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Hades and Tartaroos Tartarus are just copied from Greek mythology, and I thought Hades was the god of death, not a place. Or is it both? Either way, if there really are those in the bible, and not hell, than that is a serious indicator of plaigarism.
EDIT: Corrected spelling.

Tartaroos? Aren't they some sort of marsupial with really bad oral hygiene?
