Have a read of the Divine Pymander by Hermes Trismegistus (Thrice-Blessed), it's the absolute hardcore proper shit.

If you would prefer to be a "full on" atheist then Epicurus is your man.

Though I wasn't at all interested in anything like this when I was 13. I think I was a disinterested Christian or something. I'm not sure if I believed Jesus was God or even if I knew that was part of the belief.

The Church of Ryantology.
Actually, you don't need any other religions any more than you needed whatever you may have tried. They are all equally worthless.

My boyfriend, since abandoning the Mormonism he was raised with, has been on his own spiritual search. He's wanting to look at Wicca. As much as I think Wicca is still garbage, at least it's practicioners tend to be less dickish than believers in most other religions.

After listening to Frodo spew about how "God is love," and despite being deeply religious myself, I'm inclined to put my knowledge of the human mind and evolutionary psychology into a crystalline, distilled form tonight. Religion like anything else, is neither the worst way to spend the time, nor the best; regardless, powerful ideas such as religion will choose you, and not the other way around. If the right religion has found you, it will suck you to it like a moth to the flame. Ultimately, what my knowledge of mind and psychology suggests to me is that religions are properly speaking "truth hallucinogens" — they produce the perception that one is apprehending truth without any actual truth stimulating that perception. Though such things are able to satisfy the mind without actual fulfillment, perhaps it's best to steer clear of all of them, if you can. As a Hindu, one of my basic intuitions is that "all is Maya" — all is illusion. I don't believe real truth is attainable in this life, but we can still rage against the dying of that light, by using reason to try to steer clear of the more suspect of human inventions and ideas.
For what it's worth, I think Buddhism is kaka, though it does a good job of PR in selling itself to gullible people.
(For a complete list of "things that are kaka," send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to [email protected])

Old enough. A catholic priest would think so, anyway.

Buy a guitar or something, go to the gym, study science. Religion is a waste of time.
Other wise words, dont get addicted to drugs, dont just settle for a minger when you lose your virginity, STAY IN SCHOOL
as long as its a worth while topic studying
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.

Actually, as a thirteen year old, you probably won't like to hear this, but if you're looking to improve your life in meaningful ways, develop a habit of healthy exercise, and develop regular sleep habits ("early to bed, early to rise..."). Exercise does wonders for both your mental and physical health, and inadequate or unsatisfying sleep is one of the greatest contributors to stress and unhappiness (and poor performance; look it up).
A sound mind and body are the most effective tools for finding truth and happiness.

Read the Bible front to back. If you are still holding out at that point, you are fucked for life.
You mentioned in another thread that you respect Islam because its holy book was written by the "creator". Do you honestly accept this? If so, I highly recommend Mormonism.
