War and the Qur'an: Hypocritical criticism

War and the Qur'an: Hypocritical criticism
Do you or do you not agree with the decision that the Allied forces in WW2 fought an all-out war, offensive and defensive against Nazi Germany? If you do, congratulations, your views are in line with the Qur'an. If you don't agree, and are just a far-left pacifist, then shame on you.

I do but...
1. This question is worded in an extremely biased way
2. How does this mean my views are in line with the Qur'an?

Could you elaborate? If you don't, then I'm going to have to call the the peeps at the funny farm and have them come and get you.

1. So? Smile
2. The Qur'an is very explicit about how to deal with evil and how to deal with a existential military threat:

(22/39) Permission to fight is given to those who are being fought, because they have been wronged...
(4/75) And what is wrong with you that you fight not in the Cause of Allah, and for those weak, ill-treated and oppressed among men, women, and children, whose cry is: "Our Lord! Rescue us from this town whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from You one who will protect, and raise for us from You one who will help."
(4/91) You will find others that wish to have security from you and security from their people. Every time they are sent back to temptation, they yield thereto. If they withdraw not from you, nor offer you peace, nor restrain their hands, take (hold) of them and kill them wherever you find them. In their case, We have provided you with a clear warrant against them.
(9/5) Then when the Sacred Months have passed, then kill the idol worshippers wherever you find them, and capture them and besiege them, and prepare for them each and every ambush.
(9/13) Will you not fight a people who have violated their oaths (pagans of Makkah) and intended to expel the Messenger, while they did attack you first?

No sane person would disagree with the Qur'anic instructions of warfare. That is how we deal with those who beat the drums of war.

So...self-defense is okay. Gotcha. But...

I'm not sure how this one suggests the idol worshippers were attacking anyone.

Self defense is fine. Offensive warfare is fine as well. Verse 9/5 calls for a pre-emptive strike and annihilation of the threat which is elaborated on by verse (9/13). In fact, both verses were revealed at the exact same time.

So that is what is going on with the terrorism plots today? You are hunting down and killing the infidels? And justifying it with verses written by an illiterate, self-serving sheepfucker?

Do you believe that killing for no reason is wrong? Congratulations. Your views align with the bible. And the views of atheists. So by your logic, you, my bearded little friend, are a christian atheist.

I'm glad you agree with the Qur'an rather than being a far left pacifist imbecile Smile

There is a big difference between "agreeing with the Qur'an on war" and being a Muslim. So no, by "my logic" I'm certainly not an atheist Christian. Your lack of understanding of basic English is unfortunate. What country are you from?

So, what really is the purpose of this thread? To point out that there is maybe a tiny bit in the Qur'an that isn't total shite? Tongue

Well. I'm glad you asked. I've met people (Atheists and some Christians) who were using "violent" verses of the Qur'an to try to show the immorality of it. When I kindly pointed out their inconsistency in ideology, they couldn't explain themselves. At least the Atheists in the end admitted that they would have dome exactly as the Qur'an says, kill them wherever you find them. But Christians on the other hand....all they parrot is "turn the other cheek" "let those without sin cast the first stone" blah blah blah. I told them that if Europe had the same attitude as them, we'd all be speaking German. What an impractical book the bible is, I mean "turn the other cheek", really, REALLY? Bunch of imbeciles.
