What Sacrifice ?

RE: What Sacrifice ?
"Jesus was real,God said it,that settles it." is a preposition wherby the choice is an accusation of someone having "blind faith" without reasoning. Its a set up. Why didn't you just asked "Jesus is Deity" instead of phrasing it towards your own bias opinion as to how someone comes to the conclusion about the deity of Jesus? the choice is not objectively phrased!

It's a blunt statement, but isn't that essentially what Christians believe? The story of Jesus is true, we know it from the Bible, which is the word of God.

Can you prove the bolded portion above? (feel free to use the Bible)

I certainly cannot! In fact, that is one of the reasons I finally de-converted from Christianity.

I know that you are one of the Christians on here who does not take the Bible literally. You think Jesus never existed, and was simply an metaphor for something?

Because the means by which a person comes to that conclusion are mostly irrelevant, as each example is equally vaporous and unjustifiable. Which is all beside the point, because I asked no questions.

Then why say it? Strawman?

Assuming a Christian metaphysics is accepting that it is a sacrifice because the Bible says it is, even though the circumstances of both the event and the being 'sacrificed' make the deed sacrificial in no sense of the term. You know, like how we're supposed to view mass murder as 'good' when God orders it done and "enslave yourself to me me or suffer totally and forever" as 'love' because God says it is.

To assume Christian metaphysics requires one to shut off key parts of the brain.

Complete and total straw man. I understand you don't care for actual investigation of truth, but I have to call you out for people that read your garbage.

I think we've both repeated ourselves enough. You say there is a sacrifice and I say there is none. The overwhelming majority of the evidence supports me, not you. Even if I digress on the pain point (which I wouldn't), it's an insignificant pathetic amount of pain and it isn't even physical pain. Well, not nearly enough to warrant a sacrifice in the eyes of Yahweh and certainly not by any actual definition of the word.

You only read what you want to. I said that physical pain wouldn't cut it. Multiple times too. Are you scared that the Christian story makes sense? I really don't get you. You keep telling me I'm wrong without supporting evidence. If you are going to assume a the scriptures like you said you would on post #1, then please do not also assume radical empiricism with the crucifixion. I mean, how much farther backward can you go?
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.

And you don't fucking pay attention. Read GODDAMNIT!

I've addressed all your points. The pain: check. The death: Check. The humiliation: Check. I've destroyed each one. You keep bringing me back to any ONE of your points. Therefore, when you mentioned the pain this last time (AGAIN) I addressed it ... AGAIN!

Just because I engage one god damn point at a time doesn't mean I haven't addressed them all ... MULTIPLE FUCKING TIMES NOW.

Pay the fuck attention you god damn christard.

I guess acting like a child makes you feel better? Since you don't read, I agreed with burning down the straw men you set up. None of those were my argument.

Look, post #58, I say, "I would also call bullshit if '...now a sacrifice is merely lowering yourself to hang out with your own creations', '...he was never really human...', and if 'Jesus lost NOTHING. He gave NOTHING'. But, these are all false."

You keep saying the same things, but those aren't my argument. Since then, I've been trying to get you to address the argument I presented. You're not. Please do. Please. I've had to repeat myself so many times because we're talking about two different Jesus'!
