Actually, that was quite a bit less cryptic than he normally is.

A typical idiotic set of replies right there

Your under crackers seem to have crept up your ass crack. Chill big fella. I'm not looking for a holy war. I merely state that there are differences. The vast majority of which even you should be able to understand.

Note that I didn't try to discredit Islam by mentioning that even the Jews find Islamic claims to be contradictory, for example. Yeah, so you don't understand the Trinity. We know that Ray.. that doesn't quite make your POV any different from every other Muslim. Am I going to be able to convince you otherwise in a post here? Then why the hell are you making a big deal out of it? Yeah... shut up.

But it would better for you to specify what those differences are, so that the atheists and everyone else can see, right? You should be able to do this even with a sentence or two.

But, of course, you don't have to. And I think I know why you are avoiding that.

Jesus and Yahweh have conflicting attributes, too. Major ones. (But, maybe I should shut up now since I'm too idiotic to understand anything).

RE: Dear Christians
There are so many differences it would detract from the simple fact that there are differences. The thread doesn't warrant that, and it isn't requested. To offer such information would be a. preaching and b. superfluous.

You might be dumb, but belief through understanding is possible to a 3yr old child. Belief, my friend, is the key.

RE: Dear Christians
Our belief does not matter here because this is a discussion where the main objective is to at least back up what we have said so far, irrespective of whose belief is correct.

And what I asked you to do does not require any preaching and it is very much related to the original topic. The main topic is on how the Christian god and the Islamic god are one and the same. Then, you came here and said that they have conflicting attributes (according to your understanding of the Bible, not the Bible itself), and then I asked you to support that claim by mentioning those attributes, which is perfectly in line with the topic of this thread. I asked you to elaborate on something that you yourself stated in this thread.

But hey, whatever floats your boat. Smile

RE: Dear Christians
I say they have DIFFERENT attributes. You're reading in something from past and irrelevant conversations. I have no axe to grind here, what I was saying was not discriminatory to any side, although you seem to be on the attack for some reason.

The OP asked if the deities weren't the same. I said no. You backed that up with a glaring difference. Your point is well made - The messiah makes all the difference to "God". More than that... the Islamic god 'Allah' differs greatly from the Abrahamic source. Mormons, Jehovas Witnesses, etc etc are all 'Abrahamic source' faiths but the god that they worship is also very different.

Some comparisons:
http://so4j.com/islam-vs-christianity-co...charts.php

The basics:

Christian God: One God revealed in three Persons (a Tri-unity or Trinity), Father, Son (Jesus Christ) and Holy Spirit. Each member of the Trinity having the same essence (essential being), but each Member having different roles.
a. God approachable by man through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
b. A God of judgment on sin, but love toward sinners, proven by His coming to earth to die for sinful men. God first loves man.
c. A God that is a Father who cares for His children.

Islamic God: One God (Qur’an 2:163), Allah. Muhammad rejected the truth of the Trinity as blasphemous (Qur’an 5:73; 4:171). Muhammad taught that Allah was the only God, but originally Allah was one of the 360 idol-gods worshipped by the various Arab tribes.
a. God unapproachable by sinful man. He has only communicated with mankind through a progression of angels and prophets.
b. A God of wrath and judgment, who hates sinners (Qur'an 2:190). Man must first love Allah for Allah to love him (Qur'an 3:31)
c. A God that cannot be called "father" for that would mean Allah would have had a wife and children, and therefore would not be God (Qur'an 19:88-92).

At a very basic level, the 'god' all of these faith's must have some similarity. A smidgeon of knowledge is all a person needs to see the vast differences after that.

RE: Dear Christians
fr0d0, our "deities" are NOT defined by the attributes written in a book. We do not get different deities by the attributes assigned, period.
As for your pagan triune bullshit? Keep believing in that crap, you're proof of New Testament prophecy right there buddy.
