AF Hall of Shame (Theist edition)

What don't you get, Mister F? What I was talking about or who I am in general?

If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite. Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment. Quote:Some people deserve hell. I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong. ![]()
I wondered who you were talking to then ms clucks!
![]() Yer those stereotypes... I have better real examples of Christians being dicks that would put those to shame. Plus stereotypes are just more people misunderstanding. Boring! ![]() RE: AF Hall of Shame (Theist edition)

Esquilax Wrote:Can you provide some examples? This interests me, though it's hard to discuss without knowing what, exactly, you mean when you say anti-religion. I don't see that coming out of America, and even here in Australia, where religion is barely mentioned at all, when it is there's a kind of wheedling assumption that it's a good thing, all of the time. Miss Luckie Wrote:I do believe, honey, they speak of whenever Hollywood does portray Christians: its over the top ridiculous Christians. Just like gay men are usually represented by metrosexual drama queens and New Jerseans are loud mouthed materialists, or Hollywood wives are portrayed as Barbiedoll plastic surgeon creations rather than the majority moderates that they actually represent. This is-- in my opinion--theatrics, not bias. (May 15, 2013 at 11:38 pm)fr0d0 Wrote: Over the top Hollywood Christians? Example? That. I was talking about that. What are you talking about?

Ah I see ;)

Well, catfish, I've been considering your last post to me intently and I've concluded, you are allowed to believe whatever you wish about mental illness and that I have been being a bitch to you for that. I don't like being a bitch, it makes me sad. So there you go. Apology to you from me.

S'all good. I'm not actually worried about what you think about me or my beliefs though as I've had to point out on numerous occasions how wrong you are about what I actually say. I'm more concerned that you quoted fr0d0, attributed it to me and then went on about calling me out my "jerkiness" when it wasn't me to who you were responding. I simply nominated some dude because he asked for it....
FNM: If God is timeless, what he sees is before the beginning, the beginning, the middle, the end and after the end. He sees all these as he chooses/his view isn't restricted by time. So yes, he can see all of these states and in any order that he chooses.

Wouldn't that just mean he's not restricted by linear time, then? I mean, to be properly timeless he'd have to be able to perceive each individual point in time simultaneously; if he just gets to select the order then any old time traveler gets the same view.
