And good riddance.

Science supports holy books as much as it supports Harry Potter.

I saw this same image on my facebook news feed posted by someone that I hardly talk to now.

this just seems too backwards for words.

anyone have any comments on this?

First - their QUOTES of the bible are NOT accurate = take the very first one
Isiah 40:22 says "He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth"

A circle is a FLAT TWO dimensional object that I can draw on a FLAT piece of paper - it is NOT a sphere

Second - and MORE important

WHO cares - that there are actual facts in the bible - Fiction writers OFTEN use actual places and certainly things in their stories

I KNOW that there is a KANSAS - I have actually been there - but that in NO way proves that the WIzard of OZ is real

I also know that there is a LONDON - I have actually been there - but that in no way proves that Sherlock Holmes or James Bond or Harry Potter were real

And once you declare war on Russia, that's when you know you're asking for it.
The "Sole Instigator"? You're either kidding, or you don't know what that means. I'm not denying Germany played a large part, they played massive part; but they weren't responsible for there being a war in the first place, and they most certainly weren't the ones who dragged the rest of the world into it, that last part was Britain.

Sorry, you seem to have missed my point. He said Germany are solely to blame because they took it from a "War" to a "World War." My comment was basically pointing to the fact that half the countries around the world only did so because they were part of our Empire and we dragged them into it. In other words what he was saying was a) not true, and b) a stupid reason to label a country "Solely Responsible" for a war with a list of causes as long as your arm.

Back towards the topic, I have a question about the flood. If the Biblical Flood really happened, wouldn't the world be overrun with ducks?

Science does not confirm the bible. The bible is just a piece of literature that became a life-textbook to people that refuse to think independently.

If scientists wrote the bible I may actually reference it more often. Now I only read the bible if I feel like story time. Except I include Digimon.
