Science confirms the Bible?

I'm not gonna push you on those impossible claims coz I hate to see a grown man squirm.

As for facing your finite existence... lie down on that couch over there and tell me all about it.

Stop it. Typical psychobabble. Facing the fact that I am finite is no different than accepting that trees die and pets die. Do you pretend there is a tree god or cosmic goldfish god? No, so what would be so frightening to know this is it?

You think I need to be on a shrink's couch? You are the adult to still has an imaginary friend.

Atheists are not fatalistic by accepting reality. We have ups and downs in life just like believers. We die just like believers. The only difference is that we don't assign any of the good or bad in life to comic book answers.

Life after I die will be just like it was before I was born. The earth and the sun and the universe were around long before I was born, and it will go on long after I die. Nothing frightening about that. Just like seasons change.

The only thing sane about you, and the only reason I don't stick you in an oven is that you like ABBA too. Tongue

Science has actually thoroughly destroyed the bible. Before science finally broke through the grip of religious oppression, the bible was taken very seriously by it's followers, and the waves it's destructive influence were felt all over the world.

Once science finally had it's day, the bible became a fictional story book that believers prefer not to read.

Now if science could just have the same influence over Islam.

Quite a lot of evidence firmly rooted in academic standards confirms many of the Biblical accounts, but comparing the science behind those claims isn't the evidence typically used per these academic standards...not because they're not true per say, but because the evidence is highly subjective.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

Go on. We're all ears.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

For me, I find the speculation/confirmation of historical events and/or characters in the bible to be non-compelling when trying to validate the religious beliefs that the bible promotes.

It's like saying:

In the year 2001, terrorists crashed two planes into the twin towers in new york. All hail Smarty the Ultra-God!!!

Correction: science has destroyed idiotic interpretation of the bible.

But now we have bigger idiots that think that this is what the bible was about. That's a backwards step.
