Also, Pulp Fiction has never held my interest.

1. The Shawshank Redemption (1994) - Never seen it, should be crap, not enough publicity
2. The Godfather (1972) - Can't remember it... I hear it created the mobsters' look 3. The Godfather: Part II (1974) - Never saw it... I'm not a mobster movie lover 4. Pulp Fiction (1994) - meh 5. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966) - meh 6. The Dark Knight (2008) - LOL, what is this doing here?! 7. 12 Angry Men (1957) - Don't even know what this is 8. Schindler's List (1993) - nazi movie... got fed up of nazis before this came out... so... meh 9. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) - LOL, why not put matrix revolutions in here, too? CG characters seem to make better movies than real actors 10. Fight Club (1999) - meh... twist endings, why not add The sixth sense as well? I'm crap at picking the best... To me, movies were always about entertainment value... Sci-fi, comedy, fantasy... I can pick the ones I've watched the most, but that happened when I was a teen, which means my judgement was crap. Star Wars, ep VI Star Trek - all movies with the original cast Last boy scout Commando Indiana Jones... meh, all La Vita E Bela (a really good nazi movie) ok, there are a few relatively recent movies I really liked and advise: The bucket list Hugo
Last Boy Scout? Seriously?
And Temple of Doom sucked ass.
I guess I'll list some I think should be up there.

And only some 100 VHS tapes. (July 3, 2013 at 7:19 pm)thesummerqueen Wrote: And Temple of Doom sucked ass. What?! A guy taking the hearts of other guys out while they remained alive sucked ass?! It was a great idea! Plus: alligators and a minimum of nazis. (July 3, 2013 at 7:23 pm)frankiej Wrote: I guess I'll list some I think should be up there. I sense a trend... Imdb's lists are usually crap, composed by youngsters who don't know shit from shinola. Shawshank Redemption was an enjoyable movie, but hardly great cinema. Where is The Wizard of Oz? Gone With The Wind? Sunrise? Seventh Seal? Battleship Potemkin? Taxi Driver? Alien? This list is obviously the product of shallow people, with little life experience, minimal exposure to the great films in history, and abysmal taste and sensibility. In other words, it's your usual pop fare designed to create a social experience around a themed website in order to drive more clicks through their advertisers' banner ads. (My ILS worker is the typical contributor to such a list. She's in her early 20s, never heard of the movies Alien or Blade Runner, doesn't know what a Tea Ceremony is, yada yada. I have to explain half the cultural references I make in ordinary conversation because her experience and knowledge of culture is both recent, and narrow.)
Ah, Apo, you're a treasure trove for my memory!
Alien.... and aliens, while not great cinema, was my second horror movie... at the ripe age of 12! Blade Runner, great stuff! That tea ceremony reminded me of Karate Kid... Mad max? Amelie, Dune, Oh Brother where art thou, My fair lady, Sound of music, Rain man, War Games, Dances with wolves, Inception, Braveheart, Cocoon... and, for kicks, Ghostbusters!
My top 10 would be way different. But my top 10 is purely about my personal tastes. I don't like drama or war movies so, yeah.

Braveheart? Wtf? Mel Gibson's acting is almost unbearable in that. Such a cringe worthy film. Your other ones are decent choices... well, maybe not Inception. Not great... really not as clever as people made out. Still entertaining though. Cunt
