Did you know that last year QS World university rankings had 31 of the top 100 and 6 of the top 10 including the number 1 university in the world in the US? No? How about that Times Higher Education, a UK based organization, listed US universities in 47 of the top 100 and 7 of the top 10 including the top 4? If those of you in advanced parts of the world are ashamed of what passes for a college education in the US perhaps you should try a little harder in school.

Yeah, Agenda, I'm callin' bullshit on the "college education is inferior" claims. Our college education is actually some of the best in the world. Our universities are still the best of the best. Why do you think students from all over the world come to the US for advanced education?
No, our problem is not our colleges. Our problem is our public education system, which has been suffering over the last 15 years due to constant cutbacks because of Republican assholes who want to put more emphasis on religiously-backed private schools.

I'd like to add that one of the main reasons for atheists, me in particular, get so fucking pissed at the religious is because they are converting our children into dolts.
Stop trying to inject creationism into the public school system. I would say you can teach your children in private-school whatever nonsense you want but that would be condoning child abuse so I won't.
The disservice you are doing to these children is tragic.

Perhaps you should consider that most Americans who attend college go to one of the thousands of other colleges instead of to the few dozen best ones. I did well in school, and the University of South Carolina provides a better quality education than many people assume.
Or perhaps you should consider that I was mocking the mocking of Texans and Southerners rather than seriously criticizing individuals for flaws the government of the place they live in might have. I should have put some sort of sarcasm symbol, I suppose. I live in advanced country of SC, myself.

Quote:AUSTIN (The Borowitz Report)—Republican lawmakers in the Texas State Senate are proposing a precedent-setting new bill that would make it illegal for women to live in the state.
Senator Harland Dorrinson, one of the many pro-life lawmakers backing the woman ban, crafted his bill after witnessing Senator Wendy Davis filibuster an anti-abortion bill last month.
“That was our moment to say, ‘Enough is enough,’ ” he said. “This comes down to a choice between life and women, and we choose life.”
Fucking Texas.... Borowitz is going to give them ideas.

What does it say about the asswipes you have in Texas who want to play out the same silly exercise.
The only solution for Errorzona, Texas, and Georgia is to stop voting for shitstains like Rick Perry.
Start working on it, will you?
You do realize you are stereotyping a state that 41% of it's population voted for Obama in the last presidential election, right? Which was most likely a net total of more people voting for Obama than your entire state did.
You are throwing the baby out with the bath water, you narrow minded bigot.
Bigot? You've elected Rick-Fucking-Perry. Asswipes. QED.

Sure public education is suffering, but as old as I am, I can tell you it started long before 15 years ago. Moreso when Regan unwittingly gutted the power of the middle class and gave it to big business, with the start of "deregulation".
People work more for less and less, our pay gap is huge, our cost of living is exploding with wages not keeping up. Combine that with 30 years of union busting, both public and private, sure, schools are going to suffer.
All aspects of our middle class and working poor are being affected and big money bullies are the ones doing it. If most billionaires thought like Nick Hanour and most companies were run like Costco, we would not be in this mess.

I did? Wow. So when I entered in the name for Bill White back in the 2010 election there was a fault in the system and my vote was incorrectly calculated?
Thanks for letting me know!
Seriously? With this type of behavior you're showing your superiority over me based simply on where I live?
Spectacular fail.

If you're going to take the mantle of defending Texas, you're gonna have to acknowlege it's faults.
Or not. You can always be thin skinned.
