I love art. Paintings, sculpture, poetry, plays, ballet, weaving, metal work, wood work, origami, macaroni, you name it. If I even allowed the notion of god, I'd imagine creating art is a portal to what sky daddy intended. Well, maybe childbirth, but Christ alive!...that is some nasty shit to watch. Like watching Alien again, except with more gore. Yech.

So yeah, art's cool...so long as there's no 'ripped from the cooter to the pooter' action associated.

I understand some forms of art, but it is fashion I do not understand. Honestly, I have never seen anyone off the runway wear more than half the crap that is shown on the runway.

Agreed, Maelstrom. Although I think now I understand runway fashion. Ever been to an international auto show (that is, the format that has all the new models), and seen concept cars? Those are just that: cars that exhibit conceptual bodywork, interior, engines, or whatever.

So, runway models are essentially, from what I can understand, doing the same thing. Exhibiting maybe some color combos, patterns, textures, or whatever else, that would not make sense to go into production as a whole, but could be used to inspire the next season's clothing that you do see at a Target or a Abercrombie or wherever you all shop.

Still looks weird, though, as do concept cars.

I've seen that but it's not as good as the brazilian forced lesbian face sitting porn, which is sort of in the same category, this is art I definitely understand.
