Why is having a mod on the ignore list against rules?

Great

I could not agree more. I think sticking ones head in the sand is juvenile and more importantly, it is extremely easy to simply scan past someones name with your own eyes without reading their input. This plus one's own ability NOT to respond allows a person to ALWAYS ignore someone if they are so desperate to do so.

It's funny you should mention that. I know people who had a restraining order on the police (the courts didn't say 'but then they couldn't do their jobs'), and I also know people that successfully sued the police.
Quote:All of those points are voided by the fact that:

a) If a person ignored every member of staff, then nobody can contact that person.
b) Certain members of staff make regular announcements about rule changes, updates, etc.
c) It should not be up to the staff to figure out who should issue a warning or send a PM, because a member has decided he doesn't like one of them.
Well a and b are good points, but as for point c - if you know that a certain member doesn't like a certain staff member, surely it's better to have someone else contact said member?

The WIN/Gallup End of Year Survey 2013 found the US was perceived to be the greatest threat to world peace by a huge margin, with 24% of respondents fearful of the US followed by: 8% for Pakistan, and 6% for China. This was followed by 5% each for: Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, North Korea. -LINK

He didn't look up cheating because he wanted to stop, he wanted to justify what he was doing and to keep that continuing on." - Nicole Cooke

Shall we start pandering to everyone's little shortcomings? How bout we make a moderator for every regular member on the sight?

Do we really have to coddle a bunch of adults on these issues? ( all rhetorical )
I think we should just do away with the whole thing so people like you don't turn a mole hill into a mountain. Undecided

When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

I thought this, but then one particular member just got on my nerves and I had to add them to the ignore list.

I figured when some person I don't know angers me from inside of my computer screen, it's time to cut off communication with them.
