Is The Devil A Liar?

The bible is chock-full-o-stuff about the devil being a 'liar' and a 'deceiver'. At every turn, god is ardent to insist that his 'enemy' the devil is always lying and has been doing so since the beginning. However, I find no incidence where the 'devil' character of the bible tells any lies at all. In fact, I find sufficient mention of incidences where the devil is completely forthright. God's character, however, lies, and encourages many of his chosen leaders to lie throughout the entirety of the bible. Is god lying about the devil being a liar? Is the devil really a peaceful angel (or God) that god and his deluded minions ousted by peer political leverage? I know that theists here will respond with, "The bible says...", but since the 'god' who supposedly wrote that book may actually have only been first to get his manuscript to the cosmic publisher, rather than being honest, the bible is a wash here. So I ask this simple question, "Is the devil a liar?" and if so, what proof other than 'god's' holy comic book is there to back your assertion?

..... If we're including the great and powerful Oz in this poll, as well as all the other bedtime stories... then yes. They're both liars. But I can pretty much guarantee you'd be having a lot more fun with the devil.

The devil told me he isn't a liar.
I don't talk to god but I sent him a text asking if he was, he hasn't replied. He hardly ever does.
