Coming from an obfuscating chucklehead, and an avowed christian, I can only assume the above is mere projecting. And sad.

Do you believe an ancient Israeli carpenter posing as his own son came back from the dead to save mankind from a sinful nature he created himself?
Than guess what ... IT'S YOUR FUCKING BIBLE

Is the story of Job really worse than:
The ordering of a man to sacrifice his own son?
The flood?
Lots wife being turned to stone for taking a quick peek?
The whole of humanity being cursed for the eating of one fruit?
The idea of human sacrifice being required to save us from our sin?
.....

The moral of the story of Job is this.
Once upon a time there was God and there was Job.
And they were happy.
The End.
WAIT!
...along comes shit-for-brains, anti-theist, God-hater, satan and he sticks his nose in where it isn't wanted. Everything was fine. But oh no! satan doesn't like happy bible folk. satan thinks humans don't need God. satan cant stand the fact that there is a Higher Authority. But he's too gutless to fight God.
And so he takes it out on a human being.

The story is a theological exploration into the power of God, and Job doesn't take it laying down. He gets pissed off just like a lot of you guys. But he ultimately keeps the faith and is rewarded.
The moral being, God bitch-slaps who deems bitch-slappable, because ultimately the real stuff comes after this. Don't pretend to even come close to knowing or understanding His power.
". . . let the atheists themselves choose a god. They will find only one divinity who ever uttered their isolation; only one religion in which God seemed for an instant to be an atheist." -G. K. Chesterton
