Stimbo, sometimes I think we have too much in common. I understand how hard it is to leave your comfort zone (no matter how UNcomfortable it actually is) when you've been dealt a shitty hand. You got happy with your circumstances, and then they (she- Sam) got taken away.

The thing is: no one will replace her. It's completely impossible, being that she really was a special snowflake. You know what, though? There are lots of special snowflakes in this world, and she's not of it anymore. It's horrible, and sad, and absolutely heartbreaking, but you need to rub some dirt on it, put on a smile (at least for enough time to socialize), and meet another fluffy wet one, or a few of them; but if you don't end up with something happening, you need to remember that you are adorable, funny, sweet, and strong (you must be after dealing with something so difficult), not to mention empathetic and wicked intelligent. "It" will happen when you're ready, and I guarantee that, one, you aren't ready, and two, looking for some chick to validate you isn't gonna feel good in the long run. You need to validate yourself first.

It's really hard to feel sorry for you when I'm dealing with potentially becoming a foster parent at 21 and giving full time care to an autistic man who doesn't understand he can no longer live off of McDonald's cheeseburgers due to nearly going into a diabetic coma. If you don't have anything nice to say then shut the fuck up! Stimbo is going through something very difficult here, & all you can do is whine about your own problems.

I guess I can understand, but complaining about it in the boards is not going to help.

I haven't had a GF in years. I would not want to put a SO in the situation, which I have placed myself.

Never knowing if I am coming home, where I am going, or not even knowing what I do, and putting myself in what some people would call risky situations.

Loneliness is harsh. I mainly work around males, and I seek female attention daily, but I try to hold my excitement back (lack of mature women in the area is harsh). I am usually cranky, and moving a million miles an hour. I work with Alpha Male types who want to dominate it all.

Improve your situation or change environments. Learn what annoys the opposite sex, and avoid those habits.
