Second question: How do you know that this entity is willing to forgive anything?

Oh thank god you're here. I've really been convicted lately to get my heart right with my Heavenly Father.
There's so much I just don't understand and I definitely don't want to go worshiping some phony bologna.
I've realized that there's no way a billion people could possibly be wrong about what they believe and I want IN!

Welcome, Miss Meng. I like the name. Your post sounds like such a caricature of what many Christians think about us that I have to wonder if you are a Poe (someone who pretends to be Christian online to make Christians look dumb or immoral).

Can you set my mind at ease that you're a sincere Christian? It's not as easy to prove on a discussion forum as you might think.

We didn't turn our backs on any god. We don't hate any gods. We don't think they exist. But...you said you're open to questions, so I'll bite:

- Why do you worship a good who drowned millions of little babies in a flood? Couldn't an omnipotent being do better than that?
- Do you really believe in a talking snake?
- Jesus said in John 10:30 "The Father and I are one." Does that means that Jesus of Nazareth is a mass-murdering, homophobic, war-mongering, slave-loving, misogynist?
- How did Judas die? Matthew 27:3-8 say he hanged himself. Acts 1:16-19 say he fell down and his guts exploded? Why would the inerrant word of God so blatantly contradict itself?

I've been wondering this for years and wondered if Carmen Sandiego could actually help with that.
