Abiogenesis is impossible
RE: Abiogenesis is impossible

Unless I misunderstand your beliefs, people saw him all the time. He spoke to them, wandered in the garden that he'd created for them, sat down to a meal with one of them, took on human form and spoke to them, touched them, healed them, fed them, got them drunk with water (to the extent that they saw him walk on it!), raised them from the dead, filmed a torture porn film for Mel Gibson, and finally raised himself from the dead before floating away on a cloud.

But apparently, at some point people said "we really should start writing this stuff down as it happens" and he decided that he'd had it with the media and stormed off into his new heavenly estate, the one that didn't stretch out over the dome of the sky. He'd miss having the Earth as his footstool, but the Greta Garbo Suite in the Great Universal Hotel of Can't-See-Me was just too attractive to pass up!
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

"God" is not only undetectable by our senses - and we have many more than five - it must be undetectable by any detection method we care to use. Right through the electromagnetic spectrum, no instrument has ever caught even a glimpse of the old fart.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Nature existing demonstrates nature existing, it doesn't prove god at all.

.. unless it turns out that the only meaning of god is nature existing, in which case I suppose I must 'believe in god'. But no, why relabel nature?

Also, I think, depends on which god we're talking about.

So that I can imagine Mother Nature as a MILF.

no reason to chafe at the probabilities, follow the data where it leads. If the universe appears to be designed precisely in order to support life, the most logical conclusion is that it was designed precisely to support life.

Because every inevitability most flow from an intention? You must also believe that God sat down with ultra fine micrometers to determine the exact spacing of atomic rings. Do you have any idea how absurd this all sounds?

Selection bias, no capability of determining probabilities, argument from ignorance, confirmation bias...

I could go on. Rolleyes
