Emphasis on the "claimed to be".

THere have been thousands who have made the same claim.

The movie "The Life of Brian", showing many prophets standing on the streets has been described as historically accurate.

To quote a Dire Straits song,

That response always bothers me morso than most crap they claim.

When someone says "Don't pick on my god." I get the image of a midget standing spread eagle in front of the Terminator shouting "DON'T HIT MY GOD YOU MIGHT HURT HIM".

I have two huge problems with this childish knee jerk reaction.

1. Why would an all powerful being need a mortal to defend it? Are they claiming this all powerful god cant kick our ass on his own?

2. How petty is this god with all the death from famine, crime, war and disease for him to not only need a mortal to protect him, but make his primary rule of not being called names. If I were an all powerful god the last fucking thing I would worry about is someone calling me names.
