I love the fact that you like IPA, Becca.
If ever you come across it, bag yourself some of this:

I can only describe it as an IPA with a citrus twist (at least that's how I think it tastes).

Recently replaced a longstanding tea drinking habit with 1.5 litres of mineral water over the course of my day althought i still drink minimal tea. I have also just sunk a can of red bull with my lunch

I know my local bottle shop carries Brew Dog, so I'll keep my eye out for it! Thanks for the suggestion

Totally mental to think that a small Scottish brewery is being stocked the other side of the world.
They have a bar in my city in the UK and it's really nice :-) so many weird and random ales.

We're kind of beer crazy here in San Diego, so we're exposed to stuff from everywhere! There are several bottle shops I scour for limited releases and rare or foreign beers. It's like collecting stamps, only fun. And yummy. And gives you a buzz.
OK. It's not actually like collecting stamps at all :p
Oh, and I'm coming for a visit.

It doesn't get much better than this... also I'm celebrating the fact that even though, due to the fires, Stone got evacuated today, but the brewery stands.
It would have been amusing if they had used Coors Light to put out that particular fire.
Stone Brewery is one of my favorites. On of my favorite things about San Diego is the microbrew scene. Stone, Green Flash, Arcana(right there in Carlsbad!), Karl Strauss, Rough Draft, and Back Street. So many great places to get excellent beer.
But---Stone's Ruination IPA rivals Lagunitas IPA, Two Heart Ale, and Dogfish Head's 90 minute IPA as my favorite beers period.

I may be one of the few beer geeks who isn't a huge fan of IPA - at least the typical Northwest IPAs, which are usually hop bombs. It's like they're trying to cover up the flavor of the malt. Who would want to do such a thing?

Boo.

Green Flash and Ballast Point (uh, Sculpin anyone?) are my favorites, but we have SO many breweries that have popped up in the past couple of years, it's hard to keep up. Lagunitas IPA is an easy-drinker, but not one of my favorites. To me, it's missing a dimension. But maybe that's my wrecked palate talking.

No. Nowhere is too far away to travel for good brew. Blasphemy!
