Not only her house but at least one church building was spared by just feet, the Creator could easily shift winds a will, Jesus stopped them completely. You have no more proof they switched naturally than I do supernaturally. What I do have is info about two structures that are owned by Christians, and if God did change the winds all that were behind those structures benefited from God's action for those who love Him.

Actually shifting wind patterns caused by heat from a forest fire is a well understood phenomenon. Works on the same principals as a hot air balloon and various weather phenomenon like freezing rain.

True, heat from fire has an effect on winds in areas within the fire, but there's lots of different factors that have to be present.

So you see, the more reasonable explanation is there is an all powerful all knowing entity that knew this would happen, let it happen, and just made a very slight change in heat in that one area.

I'm an atheist, and a few months ago poison smog was drifting over the houses in my neighborhood from a factory fire. It missed my place completely, so I guess that's confirmation of atheism, right? Hey, the Sikh temple up the road was spared too!

The fires destroyed thousands of acres, but we lost less than thirty structures (and in thirty, I'm including the eighteen-unit apartment building as eighteen). These fires were huge, and the amount of loss is minimal at best, considering the conditions we were dealing with during the days of the fires. The idea that one house spared is a "miracle" is ridiculous considering the definition of "miracle". One of the great things about living here is, yeah, we get gnarly fires, but our firefighters know how to control them, and then put them out. Thank the firefighters, not god.

The noun "miracle"....like the noun "hero" are so overused as to be virtually meaningless.

Of course, it could be worse......a "heroic miracle" or a "miraculous hero".....!!!!!!
