I'm not old, so maybe I simply don't know what I am talking about. But, as we age we have more time to discover new things, to have new experiences, etc. Maybe even pass these discoveries on.
Of course though, it's bad because of all the terrible things being old does to you. I am on the fence for this one. I think this is a "Half full or Half empty" topic, to which i reply "Half is Half".  RE: Old age

I am 60 which is pretty old. I would prefer to be 16 again, but only with the benefit of hindsight.
I deal with it because there is nothing I can do about it. You are born, you age, you die. You enjoy what you can while you can. My mother is 94 and is in a care home. She is but a shadow of the woman she once was. She is surrounded by others, either like her or worse than her...all waiting to die. There is nothing good about extreme old age. In the words of Bob Dylan, " stay forever young ". Oh, and I don't want an afterlife either!  A man is born to a virgin mother, lives, dies, comes alive again and then disappears into the clouds to become his Dad. How likely is that?
Can you imagine the afterlife being full of people acting like their 94 year old selves?
I feel old now. 22...eurgh.

Looks pretty exciting compared to my Mum's home. Plus you need the overpowering stench of stale urine to get the full effect.
