I've never subscribed to the religious explanation/description of god.
But at times I've wondered about lots of other shit like ghosts, reincarnation, godlike entities and wondered if they could ever be explained by the scientific method.
I'm sure thousands of years ago, lightning and thunder were supernatural events.
Because science can explain them now, they become "natural" events.
Since we don't know everything about our universe, we logically have to conclude that there are still things out there that we can classify as "supernatural". Nothing can of course be "magical" in our known universe, otherwise it "breaks" the laws of the universe. And of course no one has been able to make magic happen in a testable and repeatable fashion.
This is why bibles, qurans, etc, have ZERO scientific merit.
But in those days when they were written, many things were "supernatural", so why not throw in a bit more bullshit, no-one will tell the difference! (Except science)
No God, No fear.

If you want to see science applied to the supernatural/gods etc - throw yourself into research on cargo cults. They're a goldmine.

But someone will ask, “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?” 36 How foolish! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. 37 When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else. 38 But God gives it a body as he has determined, and to each kind of seed he gives its own body. 39 Not all flesh is the same: People have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds another and fish another. 40 There are also heavenly bodies and there are earthly bodies; but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another. 41 The sun has one kind of splendor, the moon another and the stars another; and star differs from star in splendor.
42 So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; 43 it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; 44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.
If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 45 So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being”[f]; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. 46 The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. 47 The first man was of the dust of the earth; the second man is of heaven. 48 As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven. 49 And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man, so shall we[g] bear the image of the heavenly man. In bold is why I disagree.
But I'm not out to make sure you interpret the Bible my way, so I'm going to avoid going head-to-head on this for similar reasons to ignoramus'.

If the dead are resurrected as spirits how did the resurrected Jesus walk around as a physical body?

How does what you bolded support what you've been contending all this time?
It is still some form of body, spiritual or not.

As i have maintained in the past I have no idea how humans think that we are somehow "different" than any other living organism. When did we become so special in the animal kingdom. Our bodies are kept alive by ELECTRICITY! Once the brain ceases to accept and transmit electrical stimulus your "life" will be over. My Catholic wife cringes when I tell her that I don't want to be buried or cremated but to be placed in the woods (after my organs minus my liver are duly transferred to someone who will take better care of them) so that my body can provide nutrients to whatever might need it. I guess there is something comforting about knowing that instead of sitting preserved for centuries in a hermetically-sealed box millions of organisms can use whats left of my abused body to sustain them for whatever period of time. With that being said my favorite story is about an old lady in Kentucky who had her husband stuffed and put in a glass case by the front door so she could talk to him. What a trip.

In the accounts of his life, bodily resurrection is something specially attributed to Jesus, probably more as a demigod-bonus.
