I think that is one of the stories Minimalist posted in the 2nd Amendment thread. And this answers my question as to what kind of gun. I have been handing firearms from an age younger than 9, but nobody in their right mind would have given me an uzi at that age. A 9 year old cannot physically control the drift or climb of a weapon like that, especially the first time they fire it.
Well, just watched the video from that post and it was exactly what I thought it was. Not the recoil like the article states but the drift and climb. I feel bad for all involved but it is obvious to everyone this was a bad idea. The instructor did a terrible job of preparing her. He should have warned her about what happens when you fire a weapon like that. He also should have had his hands on the weapon to prevent it from happening. Really lucky she didn't hit everybody there. Yes. This shit happens all the time here. Check out Minimalist's posts in the All Hail the 2nd Amendment thread. I personally would hate to have US gun laws over here, and I do not know a single British person that would. I just cannot understand why people are allowed things that are designed purely to kill people, be it guns, deadly poisons, knives designed to kill humans etc etc. I'm happy that people use sporting/hunting firearms for that purpose alone if properly licenced.
However this is just as likely because I'm used to the laws here, and if I was brought up in America I might perhaps feel differently. Binge drinking =/= death, and it's more about endangering other people. Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realise 25% of the 9 year olds in my country were binge drinkers. What a ridiculous comparison. Besides, who mentioned anything about a totalitarian ban. RE: Uzi death

I do believe you would, especially if you lived in the less urbanized south or western parts of the US. Personally, I'm glad I had my .38 & didn't have to kill this fucker with a shovel. You'll do anything to justify gun ownership and defend the obviously detrimental gun culture America has. It really baffles me. You're sitting there blaming the instructor, saying he should have given prior warning to the child. Why aren't you asking the question of why it's even legal for a fucking 9 year old to be firing an automatic weapon in the first place? Instead you're just mindlessly defending gun ownership because you might have a few big snakes to kill? I honestly do not understand why your logic goes out the window when anyone from across the pond brings up how retarded your gun culture is.
