I want to know why Australia is getting involved in this clusterfuck.

Bombing the crap out of people who think public beheading is a valid political statement seems fine to me.

I'm actually opposed to any intervention. President Obama needs to tell that fat cunt Abdullah to take care of the mess in his own backyard. That goes for Erdogan and al-Abadi too. Saudi Arabia has the fourth largest military budget on the planet, they are more than capable.

Some people say that we can't pull out because of the mess that we've created there. That excuse can go on forever and we can be involved in the middle east forever because of it. If ISIS is a terrorist threat to us, we should deal with it through intelligence agencies and such, not through any more interference. Iraq isn't going to become a liberal democracy and bombing some more people isn't going to help.

At least when you behead someone in the manner ISIS does you're forced to take some personal responsibility for the act of murdering another life. I wonder how many US officials have indirectly beheaded with missiles, whom no one ever gave a second thought about. You think that's MORE moral?

We need to stay the hell out of that mess and let them sort for themselves what government they wish to live under.

Okay, look ISIS is not a bunch of terrorists. They are an organized military force, they already posses MiGs and Abrams tanks. They are a modern day Saladin, and we remember how that war turned out due to negligence. I do not like war nor support it. But this is no longer a fucking party issue. Both sides need to realize these guys are a serious threat to the middle. Now, they would not really be all that concerning if maybe we were so reliant on oil as our primary source of fuel!

Emotions aside, ISIS is taking advantage of America's perception of them. We as a country as seriously underestimating this threat. Not to mention we have WW3 that might happen between Russia and the US for some damn reason. If we are to combat this threat, we use either military or we can simply out tech/culture them however that will not happen.

We are ages ahead of them culturally and technologically. Ages. Maybe we should stop making up threats everywhere in the world.

Now, now . . . we'll have none of that! If reason and a sense of proportion ever gained sway in our foreign policy, the military contractors would have a harder time raking it in. Where are you priorities?

Culturally yes and training, however they are gaining modern equipment rather quickly.
