Its pretty clear that not a single stroke or letter should pass from the law, Orthodox Christian. (forgive me but I haven't encountered your version of Christianity before). I am slightly affronted that you seem to believe we all disbelieve Christianity for non reasons. What say you to Min's post? Did you read my post? Jesus makes it abundantly clear that you're wrong, sir. How about addressing these two that I already quoted?

"It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid." (Luke 16:17 NAB)

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest part or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place." (Matthew 5:17 NAB)


Did he or did he not, when Pharisees called him out for not washing his hands before eating, say in response, that since they haven't killed their own kids they should shut it?
“He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.” (Matthew 15:4-7)
He also says it here: Mark.7:9-13 "Whoever curses father or mother shall die" (Mark 7:10 NAB)
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Ooh, that's true that the passage is an addition - however - he's Orthodox and doesn't believe in textual criticism. It's of the DEVIL!! The DEVIL I say!

[nitpick] Also, it's in the 4th century Vulgate, and the 5th century Codex Bezae (Greek manuscript), and some other 3rd century text as well - so you don't have to wait all the way until the 9th century to find it! Wink

As an aside I find your username rather interesting. That phrase dates to the french revolution which was staunchly opposed by the upper clergy of the church. To the point where they locked the peasant representatives out of the estates general in 1789.

iirc, in the earlier texts it appears in the margins, not the gospel itself.

I should have clairified, as it does not appear in the gospel itself until well into the dark ages. But your correct that it appeared in some margins earlier. Still a shame that the best moral lesson in the whole bible is a addon

The parable of the good Samaritan is one of the best moral teachings and is not an addition.
