Alone and facing life on it's own terms is another subject. What I was talking about is what it means to be human, the value of a human spiritually, and the stages of ascension and spiritual growth meant for him.

You've just taken your first step into a larger world. Now work on this notion of working towards pleasing an entity that you can't even know is actually there and your journey towards the light side will be complete... sort of.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Why is it impossible to know God exists? I think it would be only impossible to know he exists if he doesn't exist, while it would be possible to know he exists if he does exist.

So let's entertain the notion that thif god does exist. How would you go about discovering that existence, in the same way you might discover if I really exist?

I'm sure believers across the world would be thrilled to see some concrete proof of a deity's existence. Unfortunately all attempts have failed.

I think most believers don't care whether a proof like that exists or not.

I think you know it through the living name of God/face of God.

Of course believers don't care. They're conditioned not to care.

If you can produce this face, or prove that your god's name is any more special than any other god's name, maybe we can start getting somewhere.

Of course. That is obvious.

That's because most believers don't really care whether their beliefs are true or not.

Quote:I think you know it through the living name of God/face of God.

How would they go about telling whether they are actually experiencing the "living name of God/face of God", or they are having some sort of experience that is just a product of their minds?

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

Because the living name of God/face of God makes you know the divine is real. It gives the light it's verification and you can witness eternalness through mediating over the name. It's witnessing the property of living existing nature of the spiritual light and nature of existence. You witness oneness of the divine attributes at the utmost highness is what constitutes the reality by which all things exist. You can know this is not a delusion in the same way you know being compassionate is good or love is beautiful, it's an experience. You know greatness is a living reality, not just a subjective judgement. This is what I believe I know. I've mediated over it a lot. Plus when you remember God and grow in love with him day to day, you feel your soul ascending to a higher reality.

All this is through his living name. Highness and ascension of goodness and good works, is part of the reality of his living name.

You see God living within us, encompassing, being inside of us.

And I'm not the only non-believer of religion who believes in this and feels spiritually connected to God like this. I've seen others who do and don't come from an Islamic back ground.

Leaving religion didn't mean we have to disconnect ourselves from God.

Although logically I can't find philosophical reasons or scientific evidence to believe in God, I feel spiritually connected to her/him/it.
