I think you over romanticize the actions of the majority of school shooters.

The columbine shooters probably died virgins, they failed for some reason to kill a lot of the people who bullied them, the majority of the killings were done in their final visit to the library.

If the columbine shooters were characters in one of the computer games they loved, the outcome would be a big BIG mission fail.

You might say I ALMOST have a similar outlook to you, in that if the columbine killers were total victims and the people they killed were all the bullies of the school, I think it would be something admirable. They could have took a final stand.

I can't quite get to the bottom of it yet. So you view random killing sprees as something romantic. Since I'm not a therapist and not paid, I'd usually simply say - go away, you are toxic. But then I don't do that, because then I'd have to worry that you embark on one of those "romantic" endeavours yourself. Considering how full you are of yourself and your opinions, someone having a different favourite color than you is probably enough for you to wish them dead, eh? Just get over the fact that you are not that important in the grand scheme of things, and that's ok. With a bit of luck you will make a difference in the world, and if not, that's ok too as long as you don't randomly hate people because you project everything you hate about yourself and your situation on them.

Um before we go jumping all over the OP, people are correct in pointing out the difference. Having said that I think people also have to understand that there is a evolutionary psychology that goes behind all human behavior. You do not have to excuse say The Columbine killers who did what they did because they were angst ridden, or the Newton shooter who was mentally ill.

But even with adult war, we can go to war because humans are tribal, and cause harm to other populations without realizing it.

You have to separate explanation from excuse. Humans do what they do for natural reasons, and by "natural" I do not mean good always. Just like we can observe cancer which is not super natural, but we do observe it in nature.

People acting out in destructive ways are due to abuse being abused, and or, bullying or mental illness or a combo of those. The westerners who go join Isis psychologically exaggerate what they perceive as an "injustice" and when you dig deep enough, what you really see is someone looking to fill a gap of "what is my purpose". Manson, was abused but also was looking to succeed to fill a "purpose". So when he didn't get that record deal he concocted blame to gain power over others so that he could fill that gap in his own life. It is what drives the leaders of Isis as well to convince people to follow them.

Humans with our without mental illness act out in violence for a multitude of EXPLANATIONS which isn't always excusing those things. But when you understand the evolutionary reasons people do both good and bad from an act of observation, it can help humanity reduce the conditions that lead to those things.

What would have helped with Columbine would have been better oversight and education of conflict resolution. What would have helped in Newton is not allowing a women with a kid with a mental illness keep a gun in her house on top of investing in mental health care. What would have helped prevent Manson is better economics, better education of society about parenting so he would not have been abused and better investment in society in general so that the conditions that lead to those things are reduced.

As far as war is concerned again, it is protecting the group. All groups do that. Because humans evolved to seek patterns and if we group we have greater chance at resources, greater chance at power, and greater chance at creating offspring. But our species failure is that we do not accept that we are doing the same thing no matter what group we belong to, be it based on religion, political party, or nationalism or race. All of us do that.

This is a child who has never buried a loved one, clearly. Such opinions, uninformed by experience or a balanced sense of empathy, are undeserving of serious consideration.

You will learn one day what loss means. At least until then, you should relegate expressing these views to the Internet only, because if you ever say something like this who has lost a family member to homicide, you will probably get a nasty reply ... and deservedly so.
