More Questions for Christians
RE: More Questions for Christians
Then what was the point in making the Sun, if this pre-Solar light was enough to sustain photosynthesis?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

What is the point of having more than one light bulb in your house?

So you don't know. You could have just saud that, you know.

No I do you just need to answer my question. I am getting to the answer.

Why can't we get to it anyway? The point of this is that your mysterious godlight is apparently all-sustaining - there would be no need for a second "lightbulb".

Or does this magic light have a limited life or something? That would be the only other reason for me to have more than one lightbulb in my home (the first is that I have more than one room, a circumstance that would be erroneously risible in the Genesis scenario).

Thing is, though, we know where sunlight comes from, its nature and utility. All the justification we have to go on for this godlight stuff is one oblique reference in one mythological story. Where does it come from? What sustains it? What is its nature? Does it still exist? Can we test for it? Etc.

What part(s) of this do you want to cherrypick?

To illuminate different rooms. But if there was light prior to the formation of the sun that was sufficient to keep all the plants alive, then it provided sufficient illumination too.

What I am trying to say is you need a second light bulb when you take the first on away.

Why would you take the first one away? Do you often throw away perfectly good light bulbs?

Not that what you're claiming is actually represented in the bible at all. It's just something you're making up; it's just a bonus for us that it also doesn't make any sense on its own.

Is there a scriptural reference for this godlight being taken away? Why not just make a sun first? Seems a lot less trouble and just plain common sense.

Let me put it this way, the word used the describe the light on day 4 translates as "light bearers", when refering to the pre-sun light the word used translates as "light". Light can be produced without the need of a sun.
