Faith is what saves their pride since faith knows no boundaries. I stated a long time ago in one of these threads that I considered faith the theists ultimate equalizer, it can be used to explain away anything no matter how senseless that explanation may be.
There is nothing people will not maintain when they are slaves to superstition
